About the Role

Role Description

The Account Director at MeritBey is responsible for leading strategic client relationships, driving account growth, and ensuring the successful delivery of research, analytics, and digital intelligence solutions. This role serves as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, translating business objectives into impactful insights and long-term value.

The Account Director will oversee multiple key accounts, manage cross-functional teams, and play a critical role in expanding MeritBey’s footprint across industries through consultative engagement and solution-led selling.

Key Responsibilities

Own and manage end-to-end relationships with key client accounts, acting as the primary strategic point of contact

Develop deep understanding of client business objectives, industry challenges, and growth priorities

Drive account growth through opportunity identification, cross-selling, and upselling of MeritBey’s solutions

Lead proposal development, pricing discussions, and contract negotiations in collaboration with internal teams

Oversee delivery quality across research, analytics, and digital projects, ensuring outcomes align with client expectations

Partner with delivery, product, and leadership teams to translate insights into actionable recommendations

Present insights, strategic recommendations, and performance reviews to senior client stakeholders

Monitor account performance, client satisfaction, and retention metrics

Mentor and guide account managers and engagement teams to build a high-performance client services culture

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred)

  • 8–12+ years of experience in account management, consulting, research services, or professional services environments

  • Proven experience managing senior-level client relationships and complex, multi-stakeholder accounts

  • Strong background in market research, analytics, digital strategy, or data-driven consulting

  • Demonstrated success in revenue growth, account expansion, and solution selling

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to translate complex data and insights into clear, business-focused narratives

  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in contract negotiation and account financial management

  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, cross-functional, and global environments

  • High level of professionalism, ownership, and client-centric mindset
